At Lasarrus, we are happy to announce that we have been awarded our first utility patent on a flexible smart glove technology, namely the Flex Force Smart Glove (FFSG). FFSG is equipped with both range of motion and force sensors that collect sensorimotor measurements for each joint in a human wrist and fingers. Furthermore, a machine learning algorithm is employed on the glove that fuses the raw sensorimotor data to provide real-time evaluation of the patient's progress. This allows for a unified way to quantify the effectiveness of physical therapy rehabilitation exercises.
This milestone achievement is also a credit to the work done by the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic (IPEC) at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, who provided legal assistance on Lasarrus patent.
